About the Brand
After apprenticing with the likes of Balenciaga in Spain and Antonio Castillo at Lanvin in Paris, Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta went off on his own in 1965. A stalwart of the New York fashion scene, the designer built an internationally recognized brand through charm and grace, and was thought of as one of the last great gentlemen of fashion.
